Armas Welcomes Blanco To Fire
(Soccer365.com) - Chicago Fire stalwart Chris Armas has extended an open hand to new signing Cuauhtémoc Blanco, despite battling the attacker several times in the United States – Mexico border battle over the years.
The Mexico star won’t join the team until later in the 2007 season, but Armas is looking forward to the added Fire power.
“We had wars against Mexico, and I always knew he was a fierce competitor,” he told the Chicago Sun Times. “It always helps to have a guy like that on your side.”
“We're clearly better with him,” stated Armas. “He's a good player and a winner.”
