Ayala The Best I Have Faced - Drogba
(Goal.com) - Chelsea's red-hot front man Didier Drogba - arguably the best striker in Europe this season - has showered praise on Roberto Ayala ahead of tomorrow night's Champions League decider.
Ayala had Drogba on a short leash throughout last week's clash, though the Ivorian did score the equalizer - albeit with some help from a poorly placed Canizarees - after shrugging off the Argentine.
The two also faced off during the World Cup in Ivory Coast's clash with Argentina, and the Chelsea striker seems to rate the Valencia defender very highly.
"Ayala is the best defender I have faced in my life, and among the best in the World, along with the likes of Gallas, Terry, Carvalho," said the Ivorian.
"He is incredible, as much during aerial plays as on the ground.
"He is always right where the ball is, and does not give you a yard. And what surprises me the most is that he never seems to be at the limit."
Speaking about the trip to the Mestalla, he remained confident despite Valencia's draw at Stamford Bridge.
"We always have been more comfortable playing away," he said. "We have shown it several times in the Champions League. I am sure Barcelona still remember our performance."

I think Drogba is trying to flatter ayala.
He thinks he can sweet talk a goal or two.
Too bad he can't!
