Deschamps Admits Juventus Are Nervous
(Goal.com) - The Juve coach is angry about the penalty not awarded to the Bianconeri towards the end of the first half in a match which ended 0-0.
Didier Deschamps was pleased with the way his side played in the goalless draw against Rimini of Tuesday night, but pointed out at a second penalty in a row which was not awarded to the Old Lady.
"My players played a great game, despite playing with ten men for the entire second half.
“The team is fine; it's a pity to have remained with ten, and not finding the goal in the first half, which was also due to the fact that the opposing goalkeeper was very good."
Balzaretti got sent off at half-time in the tunnels leading to the dressing room, apparently over-protesting the penalty not awarded to the Bianconeri minutes earlier.
"There was a bit of nervousness, but not only for that episode.
"The accumulation of episodes from the start of the season, like that fact that even at Lecce there was a clear penalty in our favour, makes us lose our cool.
"We have been under stress for the past eight months, now we are launching towards the final sprint, and when these episodes occur one after another against, they can lead to nervousness."
