The Icelandic star made the switch to Camp Nou last summer but still keeps in contact with Lampard.

"He speaks wonders of Barcelona," the England international was quoted as saying by Sport.

"I have spoken with him and he is enchanted with the life and lifestyle in Barcelona.

"He has explained to me that every movement is analysed by the fans and press - I believe it would be a great experience for a footballer to play in a club like that."

Lampard also spoke about the different approaches to training at Chelsea and Barcelona.

"There is also a lot of difference between the training," he said.

"At Chelsea we look at the physical aspect a lot, but at Barcelona it is more technique based and he [Gudjohnsen] enjoys that because he is a quality player."

Lampard has always insisted that he is happy to stay at Chelsea.
