Kaka Wants To Make History In Second Leg

(Goal.com) - The Brazilian ace has no doubt that Milan can qualify to the semi-finals of the Champions League following last night's 2-2 result against Bayern Munich.

Despite the negative result, Kaka is confident that the Rossoneri will succeed in going through to the next round of the Champions League.

"We're sorry for the goals we conceded, however we're used to such pressures," declared the Brazilian player at the end of the match. "In the second leg it will be an encounter to remain in the history."

Kaka scored a penalty which raised many doubts especially following the television replays which seemed to indicate that there was no foul in the penalty area.

"I don't talk much about what the referee, but maybe there was a penalty in the first half," concluded Kaka.

The Rossoneri will now need the Brazilian’s magic in order to beat Bayern Munich in the second leg and book themselves a place with the last four.

There's no way that was a penalty.

Your right it wasn't but they were playing in Italy so there was no way Bayern was going to get any breaks. Milan should consider themselves blessed as if they were not awarded that penalty they would have lost. Now they have to go to Germany for the second game. Things are getting interesting in the final eight.

milan was lucky to get the penalty.
then so was liverpool in the barce leg one
with the second goal so guys stop ok.
pool was blessed with a injured hurt psv second 11 alex and others out. i think byern will now go to the top four because milan gave it away in italy.

in the first half kaka was clearly fouled in the penalty area but no call was made--that is the incident he was referring to. I do agree though that the penalty called in the second half was soft at best. It just evened things out. The score deserved to be 2-2.

giova my kind of silly comment about milan game was for spivey point and rider.
i could see that you know this game just like i do we knew roma would win i had 2 to 1
it came just like that you had one rom 1 mnu o .also i had valencia to win .
let me see chelsea go to spain and win the second leg dream on people .

Hey Doc, by your logic, if PSV was lucky then so was Roma. No Vidic, Neville, Park, Evra. Don't count United out yet. That goal by Rooney could be crucial. Dude, let the Barcelona thing go. They lost. They are out. Luck or not, Liverpool did what they had to and they advanced. Barcelona did not.

Nice post Ghost. I agree all around. Liverpool has been very good, not lucky. The only luck involved may have been Barce's and PSV's bad luck to face Liverpool in the draw. The Reds are very strong on the road in Europe.

Elsewhere, Valencia is actually in a better position against Chelsea than Roma is with United. Valencia is heading back to Spain with an away goal. They can advance with 0-0 draw. Thanks to Rooney's goal, Manchester only needs 1 at home potentially and that's after playing the majority of yesterday's match with only 10 men. What was Scholes thinking by the way?

You know YoYo, we always seem to be on the same wavelength. Scholes hasn't been a good tackler in his entire career. He's a great attacking midfielder, but not known for his defensive abilities. But, Park will be back and I hear Neville night be fit for Tuesday as well. So, all in all, not a bad result for United.

nyc just hate's English teams but yourright Barca is out & has been out for sometime so nyc needs to get over it. As for Milan against Bayern the truth of the matter is had they not been awarded the penalty Bayern would have went on to win. I'm not surprised Chelsea could only get a draw as I knew Valencia would give them problems. As for United & Roma well United played a very poor game & Roma played a very good game & deserved to win so that's that. No excuses. As for Liverpool against PSV well they played well & beat PSV in their own front yard so Liverpool deserved to win. All this talk about this team missing these players to injury & that team missing those players to injury ...So what! Big deal! It's part of the game & all these teams have injured players. That's how it goes & that's how it is. Barca is out so go cry in your pillow nyc.

I agree Stanley, no excuses, everyone has injuries. If they don't, maybe they haven't been playing enough. Other than the Liverpool/PSV matchup, the other 3 are up in the air. Next week should be intense.

I had the pleasure of watching Roma-Manchester on ESPN and Roma did deserve to win, actually it could have been worse for ManU,but even before Scholes was sent off,Roma had chances and played better, every one talks about the ManU,injuries, Roma was missing their playmaker,Pizarro and the starting left back Tonetto who goes up/down the field crossing constantly,I reallly like these guys they came from nowhere and probably will knock out Man U,afetr another cup favorite Lyon.who knows remember Porto?

Listen bloke don't count out United just yet. Remember yer mates from Roma have to go to England now for the second match & I'm sure United will have adjusted for this second match. Roma has a good team but they can be beat & scored upon as Rooney proved that. Anything can happen. It can go either way. Roma won't get all the calls going their way like last week in Rome. United had four players' yellow carded for next to nothing & one sent off. Something's stinking back in Rome if you ask me.

Hi Matt: I never counted Man U. out,and Roma although has impressed me, are not experienced as Man U. I watched the game on ESPN and I'm confused why would you say the calls went Roma's way???? the red card was well deserved and there was acouple of episodes in the Man U's box that could have been called, and lots of borderline calls went to Man U, so where was the favoritism??? keep in mind I love the game and I'm not a fan of either team,I just love a good game,i hope the deserving team goes through. But I don't think the home team was favored at all actually........I think it went the other way.
