Necaxa Ponder Romário Swoop
(Soccer365.com) - Troubled traditional Mexican power Necaxa have initiated talks with Brazil strike legend Romário, who is currently chasing his 1000th goal with Vasco da Gama.
The Lightning Bolts are eager to sign the 40-year old goal monster, provided they top Peruvian opposition Alianza Lima to make the knockout phase of Copa Libertadores.
"He could be one of the options," Necaxa president Javier Perez Teuffer told Ovaciones. "We're trying to talk to him about wages and everything else he needs."
"It would be great if he scored his 1,000th goal in Aguascalientes."
