Real Chief Laments Beckham Exit

(Soccer365.com) - Real Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic admits he made "a mistake" by failing to secure David Beckham's long-term future at the Bernabeu.

The former England captain will head to Los Angeles Galaxy at the end of the season after failing to agree a contract extension with the Spanish club.

And former Madrid striker Mijatovic admits media comments during negotiations "confused" all parties.

"When the season started we wanted David to stay, although we couldn't arrive at an agreement," he told The Sun.

"Looking back I realise that it was a mistake not to talk things through clearly.

"The comments in the press from me, the president and his agent confused the player and us and because of that mistakes were made."

It wouldn't have mattered what Madrid offered bench warmer Beckham as Beckham's people were already getting a deal from the Galaxy & the MLS. Madrid should be glad they will soon be rid of the highly overated poor skilled trouble making cry to the media Beckham! Now if they could unload the loser Capello they might be able to rebound!

Beckham held off on talks with Madrid as he had been in talks with the Galaxy for well over a year & kept it under raps until the deal went through. Besides Madrid should be happy they are ridding themselves of such a poor quality player as Beckham.

What would be very ideal is if the site & the media in general would stop printing stories about Beckham all together. I think everybody is tired of hearing about him. Besides there are so many good players out there that can actually play that are better subjects to write about.

You know the media would be more likely to stop printing Beckham stories if whiners like you stop clicking on them and posting on them. Just sayin "Felix". Use your head.

Look who's talking! Your talking about Beckham as well!

dearest Dave/Felix/whoever:
a) I wasnt talking about beckham. I was talking about You/Felix/Stymie/Stanley/JamesE/whaever -you-call-yourself-in-the-next-five-minutes always whining about Beckham.
b) I'm not the one who constantly talks about Beckham.

Kopper regardless if you agree or not other people that post here have a right to their opinions & views. I'm no fan of David Beckham or what he stands for but that doesn't make me wrong as it's my opinion. If you do not like some of the post of others here then do not respond to them. If you do then in reality all your doing is to encourage arguements back & fourth. Your not the only person that has a right to post here. Others' do as well.

I feel the same way. I'm no David Beckham fan & I also feel he get's way too much media coverage. Just because I or somebody else post here about our dislike for all the Beckham media frenzy it doesn't give somebody else a green light to come down on me or other people. If you dont like reading post left by people that are not fans' of David Beckham then dont read them. Go Preach to somebody who actually cares about what you have to whine about.

I am toltaly wowed and prepared to take the next step now.
