Reyna To Attack More With RBNY
(Soccer365.com) - Red Bulls winter catch Claudio Reyna has revealed that he will be used in more of a playmaking role than he had with Manchester City.
By opening day, the former U.S. captain will have played under New York boss Bruce Arena on three different teams.
“With different teams I've played different roles - it was a little more defensive at Man City,” Reyna told Sports Illustrated. “Here, I'll still be playing central midfield, but my role is a little more attacking now.”
“I'll be able to enjoy getting more around the goal and be important as far as our attacking plays, but every game is different,” he stated. “Sometimes you have to defend, and that's just part of the central midfield.”
