River Knock Rivals From Top Spot

(Soccer365.com) - Recent catch Mauro Rosales fired home a deflected shot early in the second half to earn River Plate a 1-1 away Superclasico share with arch nemesis Boca Juniors.

Bocas fell to two points behind San Lorenzo, who topped Gimnasia-La Plata 1-0.

The hosts got the Bombonera faithful going in the first minute when Juan Román Riquelme picked out Pablo Ledesma for a quick opener.

Martin Palermo squandered numerous chances to build the lead, but it was recent Ajax transplant Rosales that was able to drive a lefty effort into the Bocas net shortly after the break.
