Totti’s "Twenty Percent" Chance
(Goal.com) - AS Roma skipper Francesco Totti has admitted that there’s more chance of him watching this weekend’s upcoming derby than taking part in it.
“The chances of me playing against Lazio are about 20 per cent,” explained the Giallorossi fan favourite, apparently resigned to not being able to play the classic Roman derby.
Totti couldn’t travel to Bergamo last round due to nagging sciatica pain and a bruised lower back. After missing training on both Wednesday and Thursday he himself knows it’ll be tough.
“I’m not a man who surrenders easily, but I really am in pain. I suffered a lot from sciatica pain against Sampdoria and Inter,” explained the Roma captain.
“My leg hurts as soon as I stretch it.”
“The haematoma in my back is still there although it has decreased in size, but walking is nevertheless a real effort for me right now.
"Today I’ll try to run and we’ll see after I talk to Luciano Spalletti and decide the best thing to do.”
