United Regret Missed Opportunity

(Soccer365.com) - D.C. United coach Tom Soehn admits he is a bit twisted inside after the team failed to protect a lead at CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal foe CD Guadalajara.

Jaime Moreno booted the MLS crew ahead in the tie with a dazzling bicycle kick, but Adolfo Bautista equalizer just before halftime paved the way for the home rally.

"We missed an opportunity," Soehn told the Washington Post. "The goal that really hurt us was the one right before the half."

"It would have been nice to have a lead at the half."

Chivas move on to the final to face the winner from the Houston Dynamo – Pachuca series, led by the MLS champs 2-0 after the first leg.
