Arena Happy With Mathis Onboard
(Soccer365.com) - New York boss Bruce Arena claims it is no surprise to him that offseason acquisition Clint Mathis is once again producing offense.
The attacker arrived in an offseason deal with Colorado and has three goals and two assists in four games.
“As he continues to play, getting a little stronger, a little fitter, I think he's obviously going to be a player who's going to bolster our attack this year,” Arena told Big Apple Soccer. “I can't tell you how pleased I am to have him.”
“He's indicated since he has been here he is a player who can get goals, he's been a good team player on the field and off.”
