Milan Must Be Aware Of Crouch - Kaka

(Soccer365.com) Kaka says AC Milan must be aware of the threat of Peter Crouch in Athens on Wednesday.

The Brazilian superstar says beanpole Liverpool striker Crouch poses a big threat to the Rossoneri's revenge bid in the Champions League final.

Two years ago in Istanbul Kaka was simply sensational as he guided Milan to a 3-0 half-time lead against Rafa Benitez's Reds.

But the Italian giants blew that lead and then lost a penalty shootout in one of European club football's greatest ever games.

Kaka says he doesn't want a repeat in the Greek capital, and stopping Crouch will be key to that.

He told Milan Channel: "He's a dangerous player in the air, when the ball is in the area he's always an opportunist. We have to pay attention to him if he plays. Even if he doesn't play there will be other things we have to worry about."

Kaka and Milan go into Wednesday's game in confident mood following that awesome 3-0 destruction of Manchester United in the semi-final second leg in the San Siro.

He said: "Training went well today, we talked about certain things that will be important in the game. Even today, I saw that the side was in good shape. We are tranquil and relaxed: we know our own strength and what we can do."

Earlier in the season Milan were Champions League outsiders in the eyes of many experts.

But they've gradually moved into top gear, boosting belief in the camp according to Kaka.

"Bit by bit we managed to gain the confidence that we would reach another final, and that desire to win it has grown. We are in the final so we have a chance of winning it, that would be wonderful."

While Milan have always been a side packed with experienced stars, Kaka had high praise for the man at the helm - coach Carlo Ancelotti.

"Carlo is special, he knows how to manage the group, manage people, this is all very important in football. Milan is full of stars, many great players and they need a coach as good as this."
