A dip in form over the last month or so has seen Barcelona a bucket-load of points and cede first place to Real Madrid.

They must now better Real Madrid's points haul from four games to win the title, something that will prove impossible if Los Merengues win their matches.

However, Pele remains confident for the Catalans.

"For me, Barcelona are the best team, without a doubt," he said. "It is difficult to predict, but I believe Barcelona have the best chance of winning.

"If we compare the two teams over the season, Barca have been more organised, while Real have had the greater problems.

"That's why Barca have the better chance of winning."

He also showed support for compatriot Ronaldinho, who is supposedly close to an exit from the Camp Nou club.

"The problem is that people forget that even the greatest players, just like the great teams, are going to have bad times, good times and the best times," he argued.

"Ronaldinho remains a great player in good form and with great technique."
