Rooney: Kaká And Ronaldo Are The Key Players
(Goal.com) - Wayne Rooney has admitted that he was impressed by AC Milan's Kaká in the first leg and believes that Cristiano Ronaldo deserves special praise for his performances this season.
The Manchester United forward looked ahead to the second leg of the Champions League semi final and was complimentary about the media's favourite players.
"I think Kaká showed how good he is with his two goals and Ronaldo has proved himself all season by playing well week in, week out," Rooney told uefa.com.
While Kaká netted a brace and Ronaldo showed glimpses of his magic in United's 3-2 win, it was the England international that stole the headlines with a late winner in the first game at Old Trafford.
Despite being a regular in the side as United have battled on three fronts this term, Rooney is still feeling fresh and ready to help his side in their quest for silverware.
"It's the end of the season and I'm feeling good, feeling fit, and hopefully I can keep playing and scoring goals," he said.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side are top of the Premiership by five points, in the final of the FA Cup and just 90 minutes away from the Champions League final.
Just one of those trophies would make the Red Devils' season a success, but Rooney wants the lot.
"I'd like to win all of them to be honest," he joked. "Personally I'd most like to win the league, being from England and watching the Premiership all my life, so hopefully we can win that and do well in the Champions League as well.
"It would be a dream come true, a Champions League final. It's what all players want to do."

Rooney is right and I believe Ronaldo is more better than Kaka because of his technical combination of all about football. He can run faster, cross the ball, powerful and strong, looking after the ball and possession, making quick decision, interpersonal skills and so on. In fact, Ronaldo deserves to be the World Best Player of the moment.

I believe that they're both about the same, bith fast and both have great ball control, not only they can score but assist as well, throw Messi, Fabergas and De Rossi in the mix and you've got the best young talent around.

I Kaka Rulez. He is magical. He is Brazilian. He rulez. He could kick the crap out of Ronaldo one v. one. Ronaldo may be fast but Kaka has Brazilian Magic. Which is way better than Portugese Magic and like 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 better than American Magic.

Kaka is indeed a great player & he showed it again today. Rooney & Ronaldo are also great players' but they didn't show it today. They never really came alive until the second half. Milan put on a text book display today & in the rain! When they go up against Liverpool it should be a classic.

United played about as poor today against Milan as Roma played against United in their second encounter.

It's good to see something positive happen for Italian Football ON THE PITCH. It's really a shame that the top-class product on the pitch gets overshadowed by the crap off the pitch. World Cup Champions, Milan in the Champions League Final, but when the media brings up Italian Football, it's for the ugly stuff. I'm not saying they're out of line, The Italian Federation is in serious need of changes, but it's sad that the top-class performances on the pitch, such as yesterday, get neglected.

What's happening in Italy is the same thing that happened in England over 20 years ago . This time the roles are reversed. Twenty years ago Italy had the most powerful league to play in & it was in a healthy state as well & England was the land of lawless football & lawless fans'. It was so bad there it made me stop going to see matche's but somehow they turned it around. Now from what I've been told from people I know in Italy it's a bloody risk to go to a match there for the average normal fan. Shades of England all over again. There's an element of people that go to matche's just to create trouble & start problems. They have no interest in the games being played. They faced that problem in England & for the most part brought it under control. Italy needs' to look at the English FA's blue print on dealing with crowd control to be able to turn things around there.
