Schmid: Just Give Schelotto Time

(Soccer365.com) - After debuting former Boca Juniors ace Guillermo Barros Schelotto over the weekend, Columbus tactician Sigi Schmid says he can already see that the signing will pay off.

The veteran playmaker entered with 25 minutes remaining in a Saturday 1-0 loss to Kansas City, but was unable to conjure a Crew equalizer.

"(Schelotto) helped us and he made some things happen," Schmid told the club website.

"He still has to get used to the play in this league - there were some calls he thought he was going to get."
