Altidore Pumped Up For U-20 WC

(Soccer365.com) - New York strike sensation Jozy Altidore is chomping at the bit to begin FIFA Under-20 World Cup action next week in Canada.

The teen striker will help to make up Thomas Rongen’s 21-man squad, considered to be among the strongest ever assembled by the Americans.

"I'm very excited about it," Altidore told Big Apple Soccer. "I never got really to be a big part of competition like this - it's a World Cup, it's the number two event after the men's World Cup in my opinion."

"I want to help and show people that the U.S. can play at all age levels," he added. "I feel we can do that, especially with this team."
