Beasley Enjoying Form Return
(Soccer365.com) - Fresh from claiming a brace to help beat El Salvador on Tuesday, U.S. Men’s National Team speedster DaMarcus Beasley says he is using Gold Cup duty to get back to his best.
The PSV Eindhoven shop item has struggled for form and fitness over the last 18 months, but seems to be rounding into form as the ‘nats prepare to face Panama in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
“I think this tournament is real important for me and the (team),” Beasley told the Boston Herald. “Me personally, I wanted to have a good showing, and for the U.S., it’s our most important tournament of the year.”
Currently linked to Scottish giants Rangers on the grapevine, the attacker says that matter can wait.
“My focus is on this tournament and nothing else right now,” declared Beasley.
