Beasley Stumps For Nguyen Skill
(Soccer365.com) - U.S. international DaMarcus Beasley believes PSV Eindhoven teammate Lee Nguyen’s first experience in a National Team camp proved that the young attacker is one to watch for the future.
The Texas native made his USMNT debut in the weekend win over China.
"He's different," Beasley told Soccernet of his fellow American Abroad. "He can play a lot of different positions."
"He can play behind the strikers, he can play up the right, he can play winger - he's versatile."
"He's good technically," continued the speedster’s scouting report. "He knows the game, he's smart and he's feisty."
Nguyen failed to make a first team appearance inder new coach Ronald Koeman, but Beasley feels his breakout is only a matter of time.
"PSV is a pretty big team, with guys like (Philip) Cocu and Alex," he reasoned. "I think he was a little timid at first."
"(Now), he's more confident in his ability and what he can do."
