Donovan Mulling Bradley Wishes
(Soccer365.com) - U.S. star Landon Donovan claims he has been designated for use in both tourneys this summer by National Team boss Bob Bradley, but hinted that he could still beg out of Copa America in order to help lift the struggling L.A. Galaxy.
The coach is expected to call on as many as a dozen ‘Nats for double duty - including next week’s CONCACAF Gold Cup.
“He definitely wants me to go to both,” Donovan told L.A. Soccer News. “He made that very clear.”
“I told (coach Bradley) how I feel and I told him I’d give it a little bit of thought,” he stated. “By the end of this week, I want to come up with a decision that we’re both fine with and just get it over so I’m not worrying about Gold Cup, so we know what’s going on and we can get on with it.”
