Inter Or Nothing - Figo

(Goal.com) - The English press had reported the Portughese legend was thinking about playing in the Premiership.

Luis Figo has rejected claims he could join Tottenham this summer, adding that if he continues to play professional footie it will only be for his current club.

“Im going to take a decision soon. I don’t have a lot of time to choose as the new season is close. If I will continue in Europe it will only be for one club: Inter," he told reporters today.

"I don't have much time to decide and I know I have to do it quickly because the new season is around the corner.

"But I want to point out that I still haven't decided. What point would there be in hiding my decision if I had already made it?

"I will let everybody know when everything has been decided."

"If I will go and play in another continent, at the right moment I’ll know. I repeat, there are no possibilities that I can join an English or Portuguese club,” he added.

In December Figo had agreed to join Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad this summer, however the former Real Madrid winger scappaed the deal last week for an apparent breach of contract terms.

Another option currently open for Figo is a move to the MLS, where he would play together with his former teammate David Beckham, set to debut with LA Galaxy in August.
