Johnson: Fun Leads To Goals
(Soccer365.com) - Kansas City striker Eddie Johnson claims that the secret to his torrid start to the season is a mixture of enjoyment and confidence that he expects to utilize to great effect during the U.S. National Team Gold Cup odyssey.
The 2006 scuffer has opened the 2007 MLS campaign with nine goals in nine games, including back-to-back hat tricks; he had a similar hot start to his USMNT career, and is eager to bust the international slump.
“I’m enjoying the game again,” Johnson told the Kansas City Star. “And I know when I’m enjoying the game and I get my chances at the international level, I’m going to make the most of it.”
“Six months ago or a year ago, I was second-guessing myself a lot,” he added. “Now my confidence is back - I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

Johnson's a superior talent? Come on! Give me a break! Only thing he has a talent for is running his mouth. Look back to World Cup 2006 & all the garbage he spewed on about prior to the clash with Italy. Hey Johnson! Let us all know how much fun your having when you come up against one of the big teams & get spanked in the process! American big mouthed losers! What a joke!
