Soehn Hails D.C. Angel Effort
(Soccer365.com) - With a win over Eastern leaders New York in pocket from the weekend, D.C. United box Tom Soehn made sure to note that his defense shackled Red Bulls sensation Juan Pablo Angel until the result was assured.
Most observers were quick to note Ben Olsen’s hat trick, but the coach also noted that Angel was held off the board until United led 4-1 with five minutes to play.
“He’s a good athlete and was causing a lot of ruckus as far as winning at least the first ball, but he just didn’t have a second guy to (help him),” Soehn told the Washington Examiner. “We did a good job of cleaning those situations up.”
