Can you customize this jersey on soccer.com and purchase it?

On the official Manchester United web site, when you look at pictures of the front of the shirt, in the lower right hand corner it has a picture of the devil on the logo and it says "The Red Devils". On the soccer.com pictures it has the Manchester United crest and says "Concilio et Labore". Does anyone know which pictures are correct? My guess is the official web sites photos.

Information from www.manutdzone.com/funstuff/clubbadge.html City of Manchester Coat of Arms: Worn on United shirts in Cup Finals up until 1970's. Still worn today on official Manchester United team blazers. "Concilio et Labore" - loosely translated from Latin means "Wisdom and effort". The ship represents the city's trading base and the Manchester Ship Canal. The three lines are for three local rivers. The blue globe with yellow Bees symbolises work and industry. Still don't know why it's not "The Red Devils", thats what the United's Megastore has.

I like it, it's simple and not overdone, look at how crappy the Adidas kits are getting...

The new newcastle United kits are ten times sweeter but these are pretty sweet.

The club's colours are red and white, not red and yellow. Those are the colours in the crest, as you said.
"Yeah you are right. Why not make the away jerseys yellow and not blue."
The away shirts are in blue because that's the colour of the shirts that Man Utd won the European Cup with in 1968.

Posted by: lance porter | July 23, 2007 10:05 AM
why does united have to get a new kit every year? why cant they have the 2 year deal like adidas? i hate nike
Posted by: thizzle | July 23, 2007 07:00 PM
OK - STOP THE FIGHTING - please allow me to clear things up for the new kit and the new away kit and etc.
1. Originally, the teams are not allowed to change the HOME kits for two years; but since Man Utd. is celerabrating their championship and what not, the FA allowed them to get a new Kit.
2. The White 06-07 away kit will be the THIRD kit incase if they need to wear that colour; the NEW BLACK AWAY Kit will be coming out soon.
3. It's a simple look; if any of you guys know about the sleeve patches, since United are the last season champions, it will match perfectly with the GOLD sleeve patch.
4. Man Utd has a HUGE deal with Nike so I can tell you they'll be with United for a good couple years (with AIG).
5. With the new EPL lettering, this jersey is actually going to look fine!

but my question is.. is this the official jersey or not?? the official jersey at manutd.com has the red devils in white script not concilio et labore in black..
while concilio et labore is cool and all I want an official jersey if I am going to be paying this much..

If you know anything about Manchester United, they generally have fairly plain red jerseys at home. This continues this tradition quite well.

I actually love the New Jersey, especially since we are going to be wiping everybody up with it this season, as far as Addidas goes,Who in the HE double hockey sticks would want to have the same sponser as Chelsea, have you seen their new LIME green away jersey, it's the laughing stock of all English football. Go Nike , Go you Reds!!!

can't wait till they bring back collared jerseys.
does soccer.com have official name and numbers?
Posted by: someone | August 15, 2007 12:53 PM
what is taking so long for soccer.com to have the new jersey? The season started and soccer.com is losing money by taking their sweet time.
Posted by: brian | August 15, 2007 07:37 PM
how come on the website i can't see any champions patch as an option to personalize the shirt?
Posted by: match | August 19, 2007 12:56 PM
Actually the ManUtd Megastore doesn't even have the Champions badges in yet. They sent me my home kit minus the badges with a store credit b/c they wouldn't show up until the end of Sept.
As for the comment about Adidas, that's the last thing we need... The number one club wearing the IDENTICALLY same kit as every MLS, La Liga and, god forbid, Chelsea. At least with Nike there's a chance of our guys wearing a kit no one else has.
Posted by: Justin | August 23, 2007 03:13 AM
until the end of sept? damn i can't wait to wear the jersey with the champions badges on. bragging right!!!!
Posted by: match | August 26, 2007 12:05 PM
Get rid of Nike. Use Umbro or Adidas
Posted by: Chris | September 6, 2007 10:38 PM
O.K. brainsurgeons, last years United tribute jerseys were for only one year and they were advertised as such, the new kits are back to the normal schedule of two years. All the adidas jerseys look exactly the same and that is fugly. Nike has always been horrible for delivering new kits early, If anyone remembers the nightmare the NFL had, a fan could not even buy a jersey until almost the end of the NFL contract. Reebok is fast

If you get rooney on this, fine, just don't get cristiano ronaldo, cause he dives, and you don't want a diver on the back of an already bland shirt. United are awful, specially against Milan, but rooney did well. Had an amazing slide after he scored in the first leg against milan. GO CHELSEA FOR BARCLAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is best jersey man u can come up with but i think it will be better next season. This is one of my 3 favorite jerseys in the world. man u is my second favorite team in the world if ur gonna cuztomize it put ronaldo. HEY BARCELONA IS THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe this jersey was used for the Champions League, that's when I noticed them. I think it's simple, professional, and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb (cough cough Chelsea cough). However, I hope the youth jersey fits my little sister.. reviews say that they don't run true to size.. I don't want to waste $69 for a kids jersey...

Actually United colours are red white and black due to the Munich air disaster. NOt that any of you would be aware of that! United having a yellow away kit? Dont make me laugh. It has to be black as munich was such an integral part of the fabric of our club! Wake up losers! RIP Busby Babes.

who the **** cares what the kit looks like its the players that play and win not the bloody shirt you sound like a bunch of women oo versace or primark oo oo
