Pelé Advises Becks: Work Hard
(Soccer365.com) - Soccer icon Pelé claims the American scene is much different than when he played for the NASL Cosmos, which means David Beckham will want to bring his A game when he finally suits up for the Galaxy.
The former England skipper arrives Friday to be presented, and is expected to debut in a friendly against Chelsea next week.
"Everybody knows David Beckham is a good player," offered Pele. "He's very well known all over the world and I think he could help soccer in the United States."
"But I advise him: it will be very difficult to play because the teams are very good, they mark very well."
"Be prepared, be in good condition because it is not easy to play in the United States," he warned. "The football is now at a high level."
