Zanetti: Revenge Not The Issue

(Soccer365.com) - Argentina captain Javier Zanetti says the team will be going out Sunday to break their crown drought, and not simply to get back at Copa América final foe Brazil for a heartbreaking title loss last time.

Two years ago, the Albiceleste surrendered a very late lead to lose on penalties, but Zanetti claims that’s not their motivation.

"In that final, we were left with a bitter taste because Argentina were good enough to have won the cup," said the Inter Milan star. "Let's hope that this time we can have a happy ending, but we're not thinking of revenge."

"It's a classic match as always and we will try to win."

"We have great hopes at this moment," said Zanetti. "After all these years without winning an important title, we now have the opportunity."
