DeMerit The Next U.S. Cottager?
(Soccer365.com) Reports out of London suggest that Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez is set to add a fourth American at Craven Cottage, with Watford defender Jay DeMerit the target.
The club already employs Carlos Bocanegra, Clint Dempsey and Brian McBride – and that doesn’t even count the failed swoops for Oguchi Onyweu and Claudio Reyna over recent years.
For his part, DeMerit recently hinted that he had at least one Premiership offer on the table
"In three years, I’ve gone from nothing to playing in the Premiership and Copa América," he stated.
"I’ve still a lot more to do and am considering my options."
