UEFA open probe into Celtic incident
(Soccer365.com) UEFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against Celtic after a fan confronted AC Milan keeper Dida during Wednesday's Champions League clash.
The incident came in the immediate aftermath of Scott McDonald's last-minute winner in the Bhoys' thrilling 2-1 victory.
The fan, who has since been identified and banned by the club for life, made contact with Dida who proceeded to briefly give chase before collapsing to the ground theatrically before being carried off on a stretcher.
The Scottish club will have to answer charges of "lack of organisation and improper conduct of supporters".
UEFA's control and disciplinary body will deal with the case at their next plenary meeting on October 11.
In addition, UEFA are seeking clarification from AC Milan on the reason for the substitution of Dida.
