City owner admits Adriano interest
(Soccer365.com) Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra has confirmed that the Blues want to sign Inter Milan's troubled Brazilian striker Adriano.
The 25-year-old, once one of the most feared strikers in Serie A, has hardly featured for the last two seasons after battling fitness problems.
But he has been attending a training camp in Sao Paulo in a bid to regain peak condition.
"We're going to try and being him here," said Shinawatra in remarks reported by L'Equipe. "He is a very good player but his father's death affected him a lot.
"But after difficult times, he is on the comeback path."
