McBride Suffers Knee Setback
(Soccer365.com) Fulham striker Brian McBride has seen his return date pushed back to January after his comeback from a knee injury took a turn for the worse.
The American Abroad was injured while scoring against Middlesbrough in August, and soon thereafter, underwent surgery for busted kneecap.
"(He) had a minor setback about a week ago where his knee was a little irritable and wasn't tolerating the loading," club physio Jason Palmer told the club website. "He consequently was taken by our club doctor to see our specialist where he had some fluid drained off his knee and had some cortisone injected to help settle down any inflammation."
"It responded exceptionally well and he has been progressing soundly since then - Brian is looking at a late December return to training and hopefully we will see him available for the First Team early in the new year."
