Houllier Set For Ireland?
(Soccer365.com) Gerard Houllier has emerged as a strong - and shock - contender to become the Republic of Ireland's new manager.
Although reports that the former Liverpool boss is on the verge of being appointed appear premature, the Frenchman has emerged as a frontrunner to fill the vacant manager.
It is believed that Houllier has held talks with the FAI's three-man management committee last week and they are ready to recommend him as their preferred candidate.
