Real Madrid Rocked By Roma
(Soccer365.com) Nine-time winners Real Madrid were knocked out of the Champions League after losing 2-1 at home to Roma tonight.
The Italians led 2-1 from the first leg - and despite a goalless first half, the hosts' task was made more difficult when Pepe was sent off for a challenge on the edge of his penalty area in the 71st minute.
Two minutes later Roma's Rodrigo Taddei put the Italians further ahead in the tie - and although Raul gave Real hope soon afterwards, Mirko Vucinic's 90th-minute goal made it 4-2 on aggregate to end Madrid's interest in Europe.
