AC Milan Fears Big Name Departures
(Soccer365.com) AC Milan defender Daniele Bonera fears many Rossoneri stars could leave the San Siro should the club fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Milan are currently in sixth place, four points behind Fiorentina and the last Champions League spot, with seven games of the season remaining.
"Not ending the season in the first four could be a reason to leave for many players," Bonera told Corriere dello Sport.
"But it's not true that there is a tense atmosphere at Milan.
"Actually (coach Carlo) Ancelotti is very good at instilling serenity and spurring us on."
Milan know they must improve their woeful home form if they are to make a late challenge for fourth spot.
The Rossoneri have won just four times at the San Siro and only Livorno, who lie in 17th place, have a worse record.
The European Champions lost again at home to Atlanta on Sunday and Bonera believes the problem lies in their approach.
"We must start the game with more aggression," added the Italy international. "Because ours is a mental problem and not a physical one if you look at the fact that in the second half we always come out at our best."
