Lahm Headed For Extension Talks
(Soccer365.com) Philipp Lahm is expecting to sign a new contract at Bayern Munich after opening talks with general manager Uli Hoeness.
The full-back has one season remaining on his current deal at the Allianz Arena, but is keen to stay with the Bundesliga leaders despite being linked with the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United.
A long-term deal is understood to be in the pipeline and Lahm appears confident that an agreement can be quickly reached.
"Negotiations with Uli Hoeness got under way this week and I can very well imagine that we'll reach agreement next week," Lahm told the German daily tz.
