Scolari Reveals Mexico Approach

(Soccer365.com) Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has revealed he has been contacted about coaching Mexico.

Previous incumbent Hugo Sanchez was sacked last month and, with Scolari's contract up at the end of Euro 2008, the Mexico Football Federation are keen to make Scolari their next coach.

But the Brazilian insisted he was focused on this summer's tournament in Austria and Switzerland.

He said: "I am a football coach and I was very happy when I heard the news.

"However, I am attached to the Portuguese national team and I will decide everything in the future."

Atletico Madrid boss Javier Aguirre and former Argentina head coach Jose Pekerman, currently managing Mexican side Toluca, are also on the list of candidates to succeed Sanchez.

Jesus Ramirez is in temporary charge.
