Inter Milan Sign Sulley Muntari
(Soccer365.com) Inter have sealed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari from Portsmouth.
The Italian champions have signed Muntari on a four year deal for a fee of around GBP 14 million.
According to reports the capture of Muntari means Inter will no longer be pursuing England and Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.
Inter Milan director Gabriele Oriali said: "Muntari will be our last acquisition, now we must work on reducing the squad as coach Jose Mourinho wants 22 players and three goalkeepers."
Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp was full of praise for the outgoing midfielder, saying: "I'm very disappointed to let him go.
"He's a terrific player and was a great signing for us. He's a really nice lad as well.
"He helped us to achieve what we did last year.
"He had some great moments for us like scoring against United in the cup and those two great goals against Villa.
"I thought he was generally terrific all year. But Inter Milan have come in and made a big offer which allows us to strengthen the team in a couple of other positions.
"We need that. I still feel we're a few players short if we want to do as well as we did last season."

Just what inter needs...more foreign players. Enough is enough. The only Italian players that are ever played are Materazzi and Toldo.
