Berbatov Set For United Move
(Soccer365.com) Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov is believed to be on the verge of completing a long-anticipated move to Manchester United, with the 28 million pound switch set to be made within the next 24 hours.
Spurs are reportedly willing to sell the player after United made a substantially increased offer for his services, despite it being a couple of million short of the GBP 30 million they had previously insisted on.
It is believed that Spurs softened their attitude towards the sale of Berbatov as they realized it would only be a matter of time before the player left the club.
Spurs manager Juande Ramos will now have three weeks in which to find a replacement before the transfer window closes.
It is understood that the player will be heading to Old Trafford to undergo a medical on Wednesday before putting pen to paper on a four-year deal worth GBP 80,000 a week.
United have their official team photo scheduled to be taken on Friday and hope the Bulgarian will be a member of the squad before then.
