Chelsea Bid For Robinho
(Soccer365.com) Reports suggest Chelsea have lodged a GBP 19.7 million bid for Real Madrid forward Robinho.
Blues manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has made no secret of his desire to link up with his Brazilian compatriot and the London outfit have now made an offer for the player.
Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon openly expressed the club's interest in the player, while Robinho refused to rule out a Stamford Bridge move earlier this week.
The Spanish giants have continually expressed their desire to keep Robinho but the recent signing of Rafael van der Vaart gives them ample cover in the South American's position.
Speculation suggests Robinho could have been unsettled over talk that he could be included in Madrid's bid for Cristiano Ronaldo, the deal which has now been put off.
Chelsea revealed earlier this month that Robinho would be their final summer signing if it had to prove successful.
