Jozy Altidore: Young Yanks Stick Together
Villarreal strike prodigy Josmer Altidore says the young Americans Abroad have built a support network that spans across several countries.
The power forward is currently in U.S. National Team camp preparing for World Cup qualifiers against Cuba and Trinidad & Tobago, along with the kindred likes of Monaco's Freddy Adu, Hammarby's Charlie Davies, Maurice Edu of Rangers and Aston Villa's Brad Guzan.
"All the young guys, we're out there for the first time," Altidore told AP.
"It's a bit of a change for us, so of course you know we all keep in touch, to see how each other is doing - whether it's Scotland, Sweden, France - just to touch base with each other."
Not that life is rough for the former Red Bulls ace in northern Spain.
"At first, the language was the biggest barrier," Altidore said. "But surprisingly to myself, little by little, I've gotten good at it."
"As soon as I'm fluent, I'm going to just love the life because I already love it now."
