Rooney Wants More Goals for England
Wayne Rooney admits he is keen to start scoring consistently for England following his brace in Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan.
The Manchester United ace looked sharp during England's 5-1 win and continued his hot streak with a late double at Wembley.
Rooney has been in fine form for United in recent weeks but accepts he has faced difficult periods throughout his career.
The 22-year-old, who has netted 17 times in 47 appearances for his country, is hungry for goals and hopes to torment Belarus on Wednesday.
"It's always been the case that my goals come all at once, then a little break and then they come again," Rooney said.
"I would like to do it a bit more consistently and keep scoring all the time."
