Garber: Donovan Tag At Least 10M
In an interview with the New York Times, MLS commissioner Don Garber hinted that Bayern Munich would need to offer double figure millions to land Los Angeles ace Landon Donovan.
The Galaxy star has been training with FC Hollywood for a week, and speculation is mounting on both sides of the Atlantic as to whether a transfer bid will be made.
(It's) hard to put a figure on it, but we had a had 20-year old, Jozy Altidore, who has only played in a handful of games for the National Team who we sold for $10 million," noted Garber. "It's hard to imagine that perhaps our most valuable player isn't worth at least that much, if not much more."
"If someone wants to buy Landon they need to be aware that he is one of most valuable players in the in history of our league."
Donovan, who has had two previous Bundesliga stints with Bayer Leverkusen, picked up his first MLS Golden Boot this season with 20 goals.
