Michael Owen Eyeing Out A Move

Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear admits it is unlikely that Michael Owen will stay with the club.

On Tuesday, Kinnear will enter negotiations with Owen as well as a number of other players approaching the end of their respective contracts.

According to the Magpies boss, he could have his hands full in persuading the England striker to stay at St James' Park.

"I'm not confident, to be honest. I'm going to sit down with Michael on Tuesday," he said on the Sporting Life website.

"I'm pretty confident about everybody else, but Michael is a different kettle of fish.

"He is looking at his options, I assume, but I won't go into those details until Tuesday," he said.

I dont think he will go to liverpool. with torres coming back from injury and kuyt being in the form that hes in as well as babel, benayoun, the same thing will happen to him that has happened to Keane. he wont be given a fair chance. I personally would like to see him at villa. i think both he and agbonlahor could strike up a terrific partnership and even if they lose agbonlahor, they would still have a striker thats both used to and capable of playing on his own
