Barca Stroll Into Quarters

Barcelona stamped their ticket to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals with a 5-2 win over Olympique Lyonnais at the Camp Nou on Wednesday evening. The home side took advantage of a four goal outburst over 18 minutes in the first half to seal the win.

Thierry Henry led the way for Barca opening the scoring in the 25th minute and doubling the margin two minutes later. The French international then set up Samuel Eto’o for the fourth goal.

Lyon did not throw the towel in, however, with Jean II Makoun drawing one back before halftime in the 44th minute and Juninho Pernambucano cutting the lead in half with his 48th minute strike. But Barcelona was too strong and refused to let the visitors get any closer while substitute Seydou Keita added a fifth and final goal for Barcelona in the 5th minute of injury time.
