Tevez Set For Permanent ManUnited Move
Manchester United look set to complete a permanent deal for Carlos Tevez after losing out on a move for Lyon striker Karim Benzema.
The GBP 30 million-rated French hitman was receiving interest from a number of top European clubs, with Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson keen on his services, but the 21-year-old has now admitted he made a mistake in suggesting he could leave the Ligue 1 club.
Benzema declared: "I will stay at Lyon. I still have a lot of work to do, to make some steps forward.
"I'm very good here at Lyon. The club takes part in the Champions League each season, I'm well-integrated. I will stay at Lyon next season."
United are now expected to try and come to an agreement to keep 25-year-old Tevez with the club when his two-year loan deal expires at the end of the season.
