To the guy above me, what the heck? You think that Ronaldo and Portugal deserve more credit? Let's see, now Ronaldo was the MOST overrated player in the premiership this year, yes he is amazing, but he is not a great team player, the few Manchester games I watched this year really didn't give me any reason to vote for Manchester. I felt that Ronaldo was a HUGE ball hog, taking the ball down the sides, and then just getting it stolen. Now I do like Ryan Giggs, and I think he should get the ball more often. I think if I saw more Giggs and less Ronaldo and Rooney I might tune in to more Manchester games next season.

Ok...Ronaldo is the one to watch, right now, and is clearly cuurently the best player in the world. Walcott-maybe in a few years...Messi and Fabregas are both upcoming, but as this year proved, C Ronaldo is currently the best. As a die hard liverpool fan i can say nothing but good things about torres, but lets settle something, Ronaldo, is an amazing player, by far the most entertaining this year, but his effectiveness is lacking in the international department, when it come to his country he is not as an effective goal scorer as he was with Man U this year, as for Torres, i think with the talent that spain has, he will be just as effective in the Euro's as he was in his 1st year in the premiership. Now to go as far as to say as Soccer Guru did "...ronaldo is by far the best and gratest player 2 ever touch a footbal!" is absolutely ridiculous, being a great showman and goal scorer doesnt justify such a title. And then you have to think about how long Ronaldo has been in the premiership and with Man Utd, im not sure exactly but i think its somewhere in the range of 3 years, and in his first season he was just another great prospect, he scored somewhere liek 8 goals in his first season with man utd, while Torres, playing in his first year in the premiership, has broken the goal scoring record set by VanNistelroy (A Dutch Master) as well as forming an amazing partnership with Stevie G, who in my opinion is the most powerful player in the premiership at the moment, and i think next year, most likely he will top Ronaldo's goals scored this season and possibly even take Liverpool to the champions league final and win it.

I think we all agree that Torres, Ronaldo, Henry, Rooney, Kaka, Messi and whoever else was mentioned, are all great players. Otherwise, they wouldnt have been mentioned. The tournaments over and neither Torres, Ronaldo, or Henry were that big of a factor in this. Yes, if it werent for them, the teams performance may have been altered, but they still did not do all that much. Though, Torres scored the winning and only goal in the final. But all around, in the tournament, Spain were the better team. Ronaldo is a great player but isnt much without a good team. if u put him on the worst team in a league, he mite help the team a little, but he wont do much. And the same with Henry. Each great player has had great team and teamates
