Mourinho Would Snap Up Man Utd Chance

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho says managing Manchester United is one of the biggest jobs in football.

Sir Alex Ferguson is tipped to step down in the next year or two and Mourinho is one of the favourites to take over at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese tactician says he would jump at the chance.

Mourinho said: “Which is the manager that says no? Nobody can say no!

“Manchester United belongs to a small group of clubs from around the world where nobody can say no.

“But first of all I don’t believe in 2010 he is leaving – I don’t believe.

“I think year after year he is the same, he’s exactly the same person; healthy, happy… so I don’t see a reason for him to quit.

“And in a very fair way, I hope he still goes, I hope he still goes on, because he’s good.”

Mourinho would be a terrible pick for the job. No ex-boss of Porto and especially Chelsea should be given a chance to run United. It takes a dedicated type of manager to work at United and by moving fairly frequently from team to team like he has in his career, Mourinho has proven he is not reliable enough. However, Sir Fergie has been at United for more than two decades so finding somebody who is quality enough to take his place would be a hard task.
