Kasper Schmeichel, Leicester City

Leicester City, whose miracle run in the UCL continued and will see them face Oblak’s Atlético next, showed no signs of hangover at the weekend.

The Foxes came out of the weekend with three points after their 3-2 victory over West Ham United at the Olypmic Stadium. Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, secured the win with a huge last minute save after a free kick landed on the foot of Hammers striker Andy Carroll inside the six-yeard box.

Schemichel fearlessly faced the shot, sprawling out to protect his goal. He was able to get an arm on the ball to force the driven, close-range shot just wide of the net.

Tim Melia, Sporting KC

Tim Melia makes this week’s list after his game-winning save in Sporting’s 2-1 win over San Jose. With just a minute left before the final whistle, the ball was served into the box where San Jose attacker Simon Dawkins volleyed the ball low and on-frame.

Melia, whose vision was shielded by traffic, was able to make a quick-reaction save and tip the ball just wide of the net. The last-minute save helped secured the win for Sporting.
