Real Bid For Robben?

Real Madrid have finally tabled a bid for Chelsea winger Arjen Robben, according his agent and father.

The Spanish giants have been linked all summer with the Holland international and have now made a reported £13.5million offer.

However, whether Real get their man is another story as just last weekend manager Jose Mourinho stated he thought Robben would be staying.

Chelsea have little need to raise funds although the summer capture of Florent Malouda from Lyon could well hinder Robben’s starting chances.

Robben’s agent and father Hans has now confirmed Real have bid for his son and that the former PSV Eindhoven ace is interested in a move to El Santiago Bernabeu.

“I know Real have made a bid to Chelsea for my son,” he told the Sun.

“When you are talking about Real Madrid, it has to be said that it’s one of the best clubs in the world.

“Who wouldn’t want to play for Real Madrid? My son wants to play at clubs that can win the Champions League and Real Madrid are one of the them.”

Why would real madrid want robben. Hes not going to help their team. I mean they already Robinho who is a ton times better then robben and hes younger and on the rise. Not tht robben isnt on the rise just why would u spend tht much money on a player whos position u already have a great player. Plus they have nilstrooy. Saviola. Raul. They need midfielders.

Yes robben should not come to newcastle united either. But Robinho should come to newcastle united for they will surely win the cup again.

I dont think robinho is going anywhere he doesnt really have a reason too. I mean the spanish style is his style and real madrid is paying good money and playing time

Robben would be wise to stay. after seeing the way the Chelsea played in their first game against the bluewings of Korea, I can honestly say that it would be stupid for him to leave. It will be another battle for Europe and the premiership this season. Both man united and Chelsea look strong and ready to make the 07-08 season a memorable one

Robben isn’t a striker he’s a winger, they need some one on the outside left.

Kop he does play striker and winger. But real should get someone who will boost the overall play of the team not a guy who just helps himself. AT least thts my opinion. They need a game breaker
