Love Hate - Dec 21, 2013
Player: Austin (Wisconsin)

I have played in CTRs for the last 3 years, with a mix of the older K leather Tiempo Legends. When I first put this shoe on it felt terrible from what I have known from CTR Maestri's in the past. In my opinion the break-in period was the worst I have ever had for any shoe, and not only for boots. I found the period to be painful, although relatively short thankfully because I had to go through this twice. My first pair separated pretty good after about a month and a half of practice and a few games, luckily Soccer.com is so great and exchanged my pair that was "defected" for a new pair. Another terrible break in period was needed, mid season this time, and I began playing in them again. Once again the front of the shoe began separating, showing it is a defect with the shoe in general, unless I am just very unlucky. I do put a lot of playing time on my cleats but I don't believe a $200 pair of shoes should last only a month. I have played with the front slightly separated for about four months now and it hasn't been too much of a problem aside from occasional turf or grass jammed in there. Bedside the quality the shoes are great, the touch is second to few, shots come off your foot faster than anything I have experienced and until the treads wear down the traction is great for quick cuts and exploding to the ball. If Nike could merge the pros of the II's with the III's they would perfect a boot. With this big change the CTR is no longer a shoe that focuses on comfort and touch, now it adds shots, speed, and unfortunately, a lack of quality and some loss in comfort.

Downgrade from CTR II - Aug 25, 2013
Player: Eric (Virginia)

I have both the CTR II and these CTR III and I can say Nike made the new ones worse than the old ones. To me they feel completely different from the 2's. They changed the stud layout and it shows. The studs make it slightly uncomfortable when playing. Everything else about the cleat is pretty good but to me it just wasn't a CTR. I feel Nike tried to change it to much and it showed. I start to wear these less and less and find myself migrating back to my 2's. And the ACC thing doesn't seem to help at all, they get soaked easily and stay wet. Even if I'm playing in dry conditions they will become soaked from sweat and stay wet for a long time. I will leave them out to dry for a day then go to pick them up and the inside of the shoe will be damp and gross.

It's my second pair of CTR maestries and both times it's like putting on a shoe I've been wearing for months. The perfect shoe for me.

CTR 360 Maestri III Current Blue/Volt/Black - Jul 15, 2013
Player: Hunter (Bowie, MD USA)

Overall quality boot. At first it was a little narrow on my foot but after a few wears and putting them at the bottom of my bag to be crushed by my jerseys they for perfectly even with thick socks. Does not seen to take water too well but other than that very durable. Easy to clean. My favorite boot I've ever purchased hands down.
