Durability is a huge issue - May 30, 2014
Player: Edson (Ottawa)

First off, I would like to say these are one of my favorite cleats. The design is absolutely beautiful and the upper feels like leather. However the huge problem with these vapors and the past two models is the durability. The studs especially the two at the back do not hold up at all. I’ve had these vapors for 5 months now since Christmas and the right stud has detached. To make things worst, Nike will not replace them and was extremely disrespectful when explaining why. Thus if you are buying these cleats full price, I would not recommend as your $220 will go down the drain in a couple months.

Best Boots Ever!!!!! - Jan 01, 2014
Player: Anonymous

I have worn these boots now for about 3 weeks and I absolutely love them! from right out of the box they fit and feel amazing. The break in time is about 1 hour but they felt amazing before then. I previously wore the nike ctr360 maestri III and and the only super noticeable difference is that the kanga-lite on the ctr's was a little thicker then the synthetic on the mercurials. The only reason I switched from ctr's is that I found that the assymetrical lacing on the ctr's threw me off a bit... I generally don't believe that different boots can drastically improve a shot, but I have noticed a significant change since I switched. I haven't had any durability issues so far, but I have only had them 3 weeks. But I love everything about this boot, I can say from experience that ACC does significantly help during rain and I'm glad it's there just in case. I can honestly recommend this boot to anyone. They are amazing!!!!!!!

Ripped after less than 4 months...  - Oct 24, 2013
Player: Edin (Boca Raton, FL)

10/24/2013. The shoes were shipped on May 30, 2013. I play 1 game a week, with 1 practice a week. I weigh 200lbs at 6'2". Since I got the shoes, I was out of country for 4 weeks and out of town for 3, missed cumulative 7 weeks of practice and games, leaves me with aprox. 14 weeks in these boots. I already have a tear on the U spot between the front inside cleats, where sole connects with upper cloth, on my non shooting foot. It is a small cut now, some 5-6 millimeters, but those do not heal. I expect it to grow and I will need a new shoe soon. I bought it at a discount at $170 at soccer.com, but still not nearly worth the money.
